Job Description:
Mackey Staffing & Co. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant for one of our clients in Norwalk, CT. As an Accounting Assistant you will play a vital role in maintaining our financial operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of our office.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000 (DOE)
- Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable: Assist in processing invoices, payments, and expenses. Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Bank Reconciliations: Conduct regular reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data and statements.
- Office Supplies Management: Order office supplies as needed to support day-to-day operations. Provide administrative support when required.
- Excel Spreadsheet Maintenance: Create and maintain financial spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel for budget tracking and reporting purposes.
- Invoice Preparation: Prepare and issue invoices to clients and vendors accurately and in a timely manner.
- Budget Tracking: Assist in maintaining financial spreadsheets to track budget expenses and ensure adherence to financial plans.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field preferred, but not required.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite applications.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of accounts receivable and accounts payable processes is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills: Proficiency in Word and Excel is essential for this role, as well as experience with Quickbooks.
- Database Management: Demonstrated proficiency in database management is highly desirable.
- Multitasking Skills: Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Tally or Concur Experience: Familiarity with Tally or Concur is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial transactions and data management.
