Introduction
Mackey Staffing & Co. is seeking a highly skilled Contract Litigation Attorney for a client in Stamford, CT for a 3-6 month assignment. This Attorney should have a strong background in discovery processes and the ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex litigation cases and possess a deep understanding of discovery procedures. As a Contract Litigation Attorney, you will play a critical role in ensuring our clients' interests are protected and that legal disputes are resolved effectively.
Responsibilities
Discovery Expertise:
- Lead and oversee the discovery process, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.
- Strategically identify, preserve, collect, review, and produce relevant documents and evidence to build a strong case.
Client Communication:
- Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on case progress, discussing potential strategies, and addressing client concerns.
Stay Current:
- Stay informed about developments in contract law, litigation trends, and discovery practices to provide cutting-edge legal advice.
Ideal Candidate Must Have
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in CT/NY.
- 3+ years of experience as a practicing attorney, with a focus on litigation.
- Demonstrated expertise in all phases of the discovery process, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, eDiscovery tools, and managing document review platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proven negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
