New HR Generalist needed for an incredibly professional organization located in lower Manhattan. This is a hybrid role-2 days a week you may work remote. This company is doing very well and is projected to double in size within 5 years. The role is BRAND NEW; they prefer to recruit an HR professional who can grow to become the HRBP!
You will support the VP, Human Resources, North America by providing assistance with a variety of employee relations issues, performance management, onboarding and HR administrative support for the US, Bermuda and Canadian regions to meet customer needs and business requirements. Be the first point of contact for all queries and employee life cycle activity.
Must have 3-5 years in HR preferably with Multi-State knowledge. Salary, DOE: $115-120K plus bonus potential, exceptional benefit package including 401K and generous PTO plan.
HR Administration
- Collaborate with keeping all files updated with all matters realted to new hires, employee performance reviews, employee relations, annual compensation reviews, promotions, transfers, separations and exit interviews
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resources files and records
- Responds to employee inquiries by providing appropriate information or direction
- Maintains confidentiality at all times and develops trust and credibility with all levels of the organization
- Assists the VP, Human Resources, North America with administrative tasks including document management and project support
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately ensuring that the HR files are following Federal and State regulations
- Processes Employment Verification Requests
- Coordinate the Service Level Awards for all regions
Onboarding and Offboarding
- Following the candidate’s acceptance of offer, manage the pre- and post- employment process, including working closely with organization to ensure we provide them with the required information.
- Ensure successful transition of new employees, including liaising with IT and hiring managers to ensure all equipment is provided promptly, all new-hire paperwork is complete, and employment requirements are met on the first day of employment.
- Engage in the onboarding process by guiding managers on the development of the induction plan and follows up on new hires throughout the process
Benefits Administration
- Assist with Annual Benefit Open Enrollment
- Communicates benefit information to employees (including the administration of the annual benefit open enrollment process) and responding to benefit inquiries in a timely manner ensuring accuracy and professionalism
- Presenting a comprehensive benefit overview to new employees
- Informs and guides employees on benefits matters regarding eligibility, coverage, and provisions
- Maintain on-going benefit census spreadsheet; communicate changes to payroll
- Administer the 401k program, employee participation, and educati
Performance Management
- Assist in the administration of the mid-year and annual performance appraisal system, including following-up with managers and employees to complete, downloading and saving to the employee’s personnel file
- Ensure employee job descriptions are up to date.
- Provide support in the Talent Review process
Annual Compensation Reviews & Change in Terms
- Support the VP, Human Resources, North America in the Annual Compensation Review process by creating and sending the salary and bonus letters, following-up with employees as needed to complete, downloading and saving into the personnel files.
Training & Development
- Provide administrative support in the scheduling and coordination of training events hosted in North America.
Recruitment
- Collaborate and coordinate with VP, HR NA to support US/Bermuda recruitment, including position posting, screening resumes, assist with interview schedules.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field; or equivalent training or experience.
- 3-5years of HR exposure.
